Nutnfancy & Fitzen
10/26/09A visit to knife maker and sharpener friend, John Fitzen of Razor's Edge, SLC, UT, USA. A fun visit in a two part series where we discuss grinds, weights, knife fighting, carrying, sharpening, his excessive body hair, and the Hell's Angels...just kidding. All kinds of knife-related topics are discussed with sometimes our contrasting philosophies...enjoy.
Insurgents On the Hill
07/19/09What a diversified bunch we are. A tactical and fun shoot with Nutnfancy, John Fitzen, "Chopper," and Rick from R.I.P. Tactical out in the western desert. Each player, a total individual in their own right, represents a completely different style and approach to both guns and knives. I'm always big on what WORKS and spend much time and energy in perfecting and integrating lightweight and durable systems for weaponry (and other stuff). But everyone has their own approach and as you'll see in the vids it made for some entertainment in the desert. Rick was squaring away his RIP piston AR-15s and they performed well in both accuracy and reliability (but they're still too expensive Rick!). Despite Chopper and I worrying, Fitzen and Rick managed a few Run N Gun runs without needing a medevac airlift too. Some gun reliability surprises were in store on this Nutnfancy shoot and I show you our revelations. Most of Part 1 is exposition (not too much shooting) as we discuss the gear, knives, and guns that wer on scene (hopefully it isn't too boring). In subsequent parts the title will make sense.
